RADIOMETRY

Radiometry is the measurement of optical radiation across the entire optical radiation spectrum (ultraviolet, visible and infrared).

Radiometric applications include industrial, environmental, space, clinical, agriculture, and defense. Radiometers can be used for anything from UV curing to photobiology to printed circuit board and photostability testing.

Our IL1705 and IL1405 Radiometer Systems are designed for a wide variety of visible and near-IR irradiance measurements, including transmission and reflectance measurements. The SED(SEL)033/F/HMR/W is a flat response detector without photopic correction that can be added to our radiometry systems.

The IL1405 Radiometer Detector Head is preprogrammed to alphanumerically display units in Watts/cm2 and Joules/cm2, and offers a flat spectral response from 400 to 1000 nm. The internally mounted F Flat Response filter provides an excellent spatial response without the added cost of a cosine diffuser.

The IL1705 offers unprecedented dynamic range, flash measurements, auto 100%, computer interfaces, and user programming of 10 factors for application versatility. The standard system reads in Watts/cm2 and Joules/cm2 from 400 to 1000 nm with a uniform response. Changing filters allows irradiance measurements in over fifty (50) different bandpasses. Changing input optics allows measurement of radiance (watts/cm2/sr) and power (Watts) as well as irradiance(Watts/cm2).
